    SAN DIEGO - Black families experience higher and more volatile inflation, impacting prices on groceries and household essentials, according to a report published today with research from UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy. The study, published by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, looked at inflation for Black compared to white households from 2004 to 2020 and found inflation is 13% more volatile for Black families.     North County Fire is at the scene of a vegetation fire in the 4000 block of Ladera Vista Road in Fallbrook. The spokesperson asks that people avoid the area until it is cleared up. A spokesman said, “The fire is holding at one acre. Crews and aircraft are making great progress.” The fire started in a grove near the bottom of the hill.     UPDATE North County Fire was called to the scene of a structure fire in the 1500 block of Via Vista in Fallbrook at 5:21 pm on Friday, July 8. The fire was in a detached garage. No one was displaced. According to a NCFPD spokesperson there were six engines, one ambulance, two battalion chiefs and the Fire Marshall on the scene.
