    FALLBROOK – An 8-year-old Fallbrook girl died after being hit by an SUV Friday evening while walking near the Fallbrook Community Center. The accident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Heald Lane north of East Fallbrook Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. The girl and two family members were walking across a parking lot driveway when the girl was struck.   • Crestwood anxious to start remodel of hospital

    It's been 10 months since Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc., completed its purchase of the old Fallbrook Hospital and officials with the company are still anxiously awaiting the green light to start an extensive remodel of the facility that will become the Fallbrook Healing Center. Crestwood paid the Fallbrook Regional Health District $4.5 million for the vacant hospital, which closed in December 2014.     TEMECULA - Cal Fire San Diego reported late Tuesday that the Rock Fire, which was first reported on Saturday afternoon, is now 100 percent contained, as of 6 p.m. A total of 207 acres burned, according to Cal Fire San Diego.     Southland Paving, Inc., has been awarded the Fallbrook Public Utility District contract to replace pipeline along Santa Margarita Drive.
