    Authorities converged on a Fallbrook property Tuesday, Aug. 3, where the body of 56-year-old Robert Berry Pierce (also known as Bobby Berry Pierce), believed to be from Murrieta, was found July 14. Nicholas "Nick" Burg, age 29, who lived at the property, was taken into custody Friday, July 16, by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department on suspicion of murder in the first degree after the discovery of the Pierce's remains.   • SR 76 open after 12-inch water main drenches vehicles

    SR 76 is open in both directions and water has been mitigated, according to NCFPD PIO John Choi. A 10-inch water line was broken and spraying water on SR 76 at I-15 northbound. Rainbow Water responded. People were being asked to avoid the area if possible.   • NCFPD rescues rider after falling from horse on trail

    At 10:44 am Sunday, North County Fire Protection District (NCFPD) was called after a woman in her 30s fell from her horse on a trail in Bonsall near SR 76 and Montellano. The trail was uphill and surrounded by vegetation. According to NCFPD PIO John Choi the woman wasn't able to get up and walk or move, so they had to use a board to carefully lift her.   • Vehicle fire extinguished on northbound I-15

    AT 4:04 pm today, Saturday, July 31, a Ford Explorer was engulfed in fire on northbound I-15, south of the Lilac bridge, according to NCFPD PIO John Choi. The vehicle was on the right-hand shoulder and North County Fire arrived on the scene at 4:11 pm. They were able to keep the fire contained to the vehicle with no spread to vegetation.
