The California state legislature honored Laura Rosier as an Outstanding Woman in Thoroughbred Horse Racing. It is easy to understand why Christians have always loved the psalms of the Bible. We can read about pain, doubt, and disappointments in the psalms. A Federal grant to a local tribal consortium will provide for expansion of the North County Transit District’s Route 388 line, which currently serves several Indian reservations. SAN DIEGO — A ballot proposal seeking to create a regional fire agency to enhance firefighting resources and services – funded by a countywide parcel tax – received unanimous support from the San Diego County Board of Supervisors on August 6. “North County has lost one of its finest citizens…” –Fifth District Supervisor Bill Horn Ross Daily, who was instrumental in the community of De Luz and who was also a founder of Rainbow Municipal Water District, passed away August 7, 2008, at the age of 92. Daily was admitted to Fallbrook Hospital the morning before his death after taking ill the night of August 5. Keely Yankie, who attended Zion Lutheran School, then Fallbrook High for four years, is now a student at Purdue University in the ROTC program.
