    OCEANSIDE - A body turned up in an Oceanside lake today, authorities reported. Patrol officers responding to a report of a foul odor in the area of Guajome Lake discovered the body in the water shortly after 11:30 a.m., according to the Oceanside Police Department. OPD detectives and the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office were investigating the fatality, police said. The decedent's identity was not immediately available. Atkins, D-San Diego, to allow qualified nurse practitioners to perform first- trimester abortions without a supervising physician was approved by the state Senate today.'     ELFIN FOREST (CNS) - A body turned up under suspicious circumstances today in a rural community near Lake Hodges. The discovery off the 8000 block of Harmony Grove Road in the Elfin Forest area was reported shortly after 7 a.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.   • Ex-Marine sentenced to 15 years to life for North County DUI wrong-way crash

    A former Camp Pendleton Marine who drove drunk and caused a wrong-way crash that killed a motorcyclist in Fallbrook was sentenced today to 15 years to life in state prison. Adam Daniel Barooshian, 29, was convicted of second-degree murder for the New Year's Day 2019 crash that killed 29-year-old Christopher Williams of Oceanside.
