    NUEVO - A 93-year-old woman was pistol-whipped by a hooded man who broke into her home in a rural area east of Perris, knocked out her caretaker, tied her up and stole her property and car, deputies said today. The man stole a car, abandoned it nearby, and was being sought today.     MENIFEE - A fire that damaged the first floor of a two-story home near Menifee allegedly was purposely set by one of the residents and followed a domestic assault, police said today.
