Caroline Helen Rondeau, 84, passed away on September 17, 2005. She was born on July 30, 1921, in Burlington, VT. She was a resident of Fallbrook, CA, for 11 years. Mrs. Rondeau was a member of Plein Air Group, Fallbrook Art Association, and Fallbrook Church of Religious Science. She was an accomplished watercolor artist-painter. Dean, who is an Elder at Riverview, and his wife Linda have been missionaries with OC International since 1981. In his first race in seven months, Total Impact won the Windy Sands Handicap at Del Mar September 5. The San Luis Rey Downs Thoroughbred Training Center horse won the one-mile dirt race with a time of 1:35.62 and finished a neck ahead of second-place Anziyan Royalty. “It was a very good comeback race,” said Jeff Ford, an assistant to trainer Laura de Seroux. “He came back better than expected.” The Windy Sands Handicap was the 25th career race for Total Impact, who was foaled in Chile in August 1998. On August 25, the Fallbrook Senior Center Cribbage team bested the Oceanside Senior Center team in the August Senior Cribbage Challenge. Fallbrook had six out of the top eight players and coasted to an easy with in the match with 39 players. Brock Bardeen spent part of August in Wichita, where he participated in the National Baseball Congress World Series. Bardeen played for the Havasu Heat and started two of the three games the Heat played in Wichita. The Heat won one game and lost two in the double-elimination tournament. “It was a great opportunity. FALLBROOK — The 2005-2006 Fallbrook High School varsity and JV cheerleaders have had a busy summer. They began their training for the upcoming football season back in May with a stunt clinic held at the high school taught by Palomar College cheerleaders. Two Fallbrook High School sophomores, Maggie Earle and Jordyn Pettersen, and a Bonsall seventh-grader, Emily Bullard, competed in the PCHA Horsemanship Class 2005 Finals at the Portuguese Bend National Horse Show. The show, which took place September 9 to 11 in Palos Verdes, benefited Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
