    Carl A. Rohde left us late on the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 16, 2011. He had been a Fallbrook resident since the mid 1990s, when he moved here to be closer to his son Steve and his family. Carl was born to Edward and Ursula Rohde in Indianapolis, Ind. on March 15, 1925. He lived in Indianapolis until joining the US Army Air Corps about halfway through WWII.     The County of San Diego is seeking a grant from the State Water Resources Control Board to improve the water quality of the Rainbow Creek watershed. The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 Sept. 14 to authorize the application of a grant for $300,000 and to authorize acceptance of the grant if it is awarded.   • Aguanga Mobile Home Is Destroyed by Fire

    AGUANGA - A fire destroyed a single-wide trailer today in Aguanga, though no injuries were reported. The blaze happened at about 1 p.m. in the 42000 block of Fresz Road, near Becker Lane, in a lightly populated area, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. About 20 firefighters from six engine crews were sent to the fire, which consumed the unoccupied mobile home, a fire department spokeswoman said. No surrounding properties were affected.
