  • Wine and jazz festival outstanding

    Updated Oct 3, 2013

A person would be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful venue than the Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens for its inaugural “Jazz & Wine in the Gardens.” The music was outstanding, the treats at the food stations were first rate, and most of the wines I tasted were commendable. The food tastings were sprinkled throughout the garden paths which lent itself to the feel of a scavenger-hunt. The first class host, Michael Paulo, of the jazz performances was delightful and an excellent sax player. Paulo began his musical portion of... Full story

  • Cardiac wellness saves lives

    Updated Oct 3, 2013

Cardiac wellness is essential for the health of the citizens of Fallbrook. Cardiac wellness is not limited to in-hospital measures and a 13-week course of mild cardiac rehab, nor just showing up subsequently for unsupervised exercise on the treadmill or bike. The gardens were so beautiful, and the “tastes” were very plentiful, high quality, and very tasty. The wine “tastes” were four-ounce pours of some very good...

She has been involved in rescuing GSPs for 25 years, and sadly, the numbers abandoned to shelters and...

I was in World War II, 2nd Armed Division, 41 Armed Regiment FCO in 1944. We had a black artillery company that gave us artillery support every one in a while. It made me realize I was not alone. I sang along with the artillery company. That made my day for me. I wanted to thank those great guys, a lot. It was great for me to hear them and I have nev...
