    The 23rd annual Fallbrook Fall Junior Satellite Tournament attracted a total of 179 players for the matches at the Fallbrook Tennis Club September 8-16. One championship remains to be determined as one match in the Mixed 18 Doubles division has not yet been played, but 16 singles and doubles divisions produced champions through bracket or round-robin play. “It was a really good turnout and a lot of really good tennis,” said tournament organizer Dorothy Roth.     Fallbrook High School’s field hockey team won both its league opener and its first league match at home. The Warriors opened league play October 4 with a 3-1 win at Rancho Buena Vista and earned a 2-0 home win October 10 against Vista. “We’ll see how we do,” said Fallbrook coach Kathy Waite.     Fallbrook High School’s girls cross-country team finished fifth at the Southern California Invitational held October 13 at Guajome Park.     The county’s Planning Commission voted 6-1 October 5 to approve a tentative map which will subdivide the 44.2-acre Marquart Ranch property into nine residential lots. The approval also accepted a revision to the environmental Mitigated Negative Declaration for the project in the 8700 block of West Lilac Road just east of Interstate 15.
