Visit this cozy deli and you will be assured of getting fresh food made by Dominick himself, or his manager of seventeen years, Dana. Updated Oct 20, 2005

Fallbrook High School’s field hockey team had to go to strokes to win its league opener, but the Warriors prevailed in their Avocado League season debut October 7 at Rancho Buena Vista. “I’ll take it,” said Fallbrook coach Kathy Waite. • Warriors attacked by Panthers

The Vista Panthers exhibited the abilities that place them in the top 10 teams of the county as they beat Fallbrook 35-0 on Friday night. The Fallbrook Warrior defense started out in great shape as they held the Panthers on three consecutive drives. • Overcrowding of single-family homes a blight

    Updated Oct 20, 2005

Fallbrook real estate prices creep ever higher each year, yet in some neighborhoods homes exist that defy that upward spiral. While small individual families vainly seek homes they can afford, multiple families and individuals pack themselves into houses from Rainbow to Bonsall. Does poverty drive this behavior? Do the residents represent a culture accustomed to living so closely the lack of privacy and hygiene is accepted? Are the dwellings owned by landlords oblivious to the blight such homes create in quiet neighborhoods?...

  • Party for young teen disgusts other parents

    Updated Oct 20, 2005

Costume parties are not unusual in the month of October, but a party thrown by one set of Fallbrook parents for their 14-year-old daughter’s birthday on October 8 exceeded the boundaries of acceptability and encouraged and enabled children to engage in illegal behavior, other parents say. Touted as a “Pimp and ’Ho” party, invitees were encouraged to dress (or undress, as the case warranted) the part and “were promised all the free beer they could drink and all the free marijuana they could smoke,” said one disgusted m... Full story
