Fallbrook High School’s girls volleyball team won its first two league matches of 2011, and the Warriors also won their pool at the October 8 Hilltop Tournament. Fallbrook took three-game wins in Avocado East League play October 4 at San Pasqual and October 6 at home against Escondido and did not lose a game in pool play during the tournament. On Monday, October 10, the Fallbrook girls’ field hockey team hosted the Rancho Bernardo Broncos. The Warriors were coming off a weekend of championship glory after toppling field hockey giants, Serra and Scripps Ranch, at the annual Serra Tournament. Jack Sandschulte was born in Onawa, Iowa on July 29, 1929, to Harry and Grace Sandschulte. He passed away at home on Oct. 15, 2011. FALLBROOK – A fire that took place in the early morning Tuesday, Oct. 12, at a Fallbrook home resulted in approximately $150,000 damage to the structure. The fire, which erupted at about 5:30 a.m. in the attic area of the home, appears to have been electrical in origin, said John Buchanan, public information officer for North County Fire.
