Over the course of just a few days, four commercial burglaries took place in the downtown Fallbrook area, causing the detective bureau at the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Department to immediately assess the circumstances for similarities. The San Diego County Water Authority approved a resolution to annex the Meadowood development area while accepting the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California’s terms and conditions for the Meadowood annexation. The SDCWA board vote Oct. 24 also found that Meadowood’s Environmental Impact Report adequately addressed the potential environmental effects resulting from annexation of the area into the CWA, MWD, and the Valley Center Municipal Water District. As a pilot for 35 years and a Fallbrook resident for 25 years, I continue to seek an explanation as to why the incessant helicopter traffic has to plague Fallbrook residents. Air traffic over Fallbrook, other than landings by fixed wing aircraft or helicopters commuting between the Base at 29 Palms, is simply a matter of choice, not necessity.
