Fallbrook High School’s girls cross-country team ran in the Mt. SAC Invitational cross-country meet for the first time since 2007 and placed 13th among the 17 Division 1 teams. “It was a very positive experience for both the girls and myself,” said Fallbrook head coach Troy Hamlin. “It was a great day for us.” The Mt. Fallbrook High School’s girls junior varsity cross-country team placed 11th among the 17 JV girls teams at the Jaguar Invitational meet Oct. 21 at Kit Carson Park. “It was a good showing,” said Fallbrook head coach Troy Hamlin. “They performed well overall.” The junior varsity girls race had a total of 212 runners. William Abraham “Bill” Morgan, after a full and active life, passed away suddenly on October 27, 2011 at the age of 93. A resident of Fallbrook for 24 years, Bill was born June 10, 1918, in Snyder, Texas. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Depression and served aboard the battleship USS IDAHO (BB-42).
