    A 27-year-old Marine, on his way from his home in Murrieta to work at Camp Pendleton at about 6:40 a.m. this morning lost control of his vehicle on Live Oak Park Road near Yucca and crashed into a tree.     SAN JACINTO – Sheriff Stan Sniff promoted Lieutenant Kevin Vest to the rank of Captain on Nov. 1. Captain Vest will serve as the commander for the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station.
