The North County Fire Protection District approved a Joint Community Facilities Agreement for the Horse Creek Ridge development. The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) approved an increase in the program budget for the Camp Pendleton area railroad double-tracking and Santa Margarita Bridge replacement. The Fallbrook Public Utility District will be obtaining a no-interest loan from San Diego Gas & Electric to finance the installation of energy-efficient lighting at FPUD’s main office. The FPUD board voted 5-0 Oct. 21 to authorize general manager Brian Brady to execute an on-bill financing loan agreement with SDG&E. The $91,886.46 loan will be paid back over a period of 10 years. “I think it’s a timely program for FPUD,” Brady said. The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 Nov. 5 to extend the exemption from a spare wheel requirement for North County Fire Protection District ambulances. The exemption, which also covers 13 other fire protection and emergency medical service areas and three ambulance companies, will be effective for the period of Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 31, 2015.
