    GREEN ACRES - An 87-year-old Homeland resident died of injuries he suffered in a head-on collision on Highway 74 in Green Acres, the California Highway Patrol reported today. The motorist, whose name was withheld pending notification of next of kin, was driving a 2005 Buick when, inexplicably, he pulled into the path of a Chevrolet van headed east on Highway 74, CHP Officer Donovan Walker said.     TEMECULA - A 20-year-old man on probation was back behind bars today on suspicion of having robbed a US Bank branch inside a Temecula supermarket.
