Fallbrook’s Pop Warner Jr. Midget Warriors have won the western region championship, Wescon, and are now raising funds to compete for the state championship in December. Fallbrook High School’s boys water polo team finished the 2010 season with an overall 22-8 record, including a first-round playoff loss. “I was happy with the season up to the playoffs,” said Fallbrook coach Bob Lamont. Marguerite E. Mahr, 99, passed away on Nov. 3, 2010. She was born May 10, 1911 in Sioux City, Iowa. Her parents were Frank and Rose Fisher. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband Weldon in 1995. Joe Louis Vivalda of Fallbrook, Calif. died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at the age of 86. Joe was born in Kentucky on June 13, 1924 to Alfred and Fairy Vivalda. The family moved from Kentucky to California where he remained and eventually settled in Fallbrook for the last 40 years. One of Joe’s fondest memories was playing professional baseball in the Pacific Coast League.
