    RIVERSIDE - The number of homes sold in Riverside County jumped by 10.2 percent in November, compared to the same month a year ago, while prices rose by 17.4 percent, a real estate information service announced today. A total of 3,274 homes changed hands in Riverside County last month, compared to 2,971 in November 2011, according to DataQuick.     RIVERSIDE - A Feb. 19 trial date was confirmed today for a convicted felon accused of causing a head-on crash that killed an off-duty Riverside County sheriff's dispatcher riding his motorcycle to work.     TEMECULA - A man who attempted to sexually assault a young woman in the parking lot of a Temecula strip mall remained at large today.     SAN DIEGO - Ravi Shankar, the Indian sitarist and longtime Encinitas resident who played an influential role for The Beatles, died in San Diego today, his family announced. He was 92.     RIVERSIDE - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped today to its lowest amount since Jan. 3, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.649.
