Mrs. Regnier had lived in Fallbrook, CA, for 19 years prior to moving to Vista, CA, where she lived the past eight years.     Today, December 15, is the last day of instruction at Potter Junior High for two weeks. It is time for Winter Break! Time to shop for the holidays and spend time with friends and family.     On the weekend of December 2 and 3, nine of Fallbrook High School’s varsity wrestlers went to the Zinkin Classic Tournament in Fresno. The team finished in the top 25 of the 56 teams in attendance despite the fact that this was the first varsity-level experience for many of the team’s wrestlers.     FALLBROOK — Beverly and Bob Youngren just returned from St. George, UT, where they competed in the 19th Annual Huntsman World Senior Games. The Games started in 1987 with around 500 athletes. This year it featured over 9,000 participants from 52 countries. This is the fourth year the Youngrens have competed and are so impressed with how this community welcomes all athletes.     Seventeen-year-old synchronized swimmer Brooke Abel is well on her way to securing a spot on the squad that will represent the US at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.     At the USA Gymnastics California State Championship, Danielle Parsons from the Fallbrook Gymnastic Club finished third at Level 4. With an all-around score of 36.65, this was Danielle’s best meet of the season.     Isn’t it great to be a kid, especially at Live Oak? Mrs. Greenleaf and Mrs. Geller are the Live Oak Kodaly teachers. This trimester students tried out for the choir they set up. Students had eight weeks with one practice a week to memorize and sing holiday songs perfectly. The choir’s first performance was at the Bob Burton Theater with the barbershop quartet.   • Rainbow water slapped with $13,000 fine

    A $13,000 penalty was placed on the Rainbow Municipal Water District (RMWD) on December 6 by the California Department of Health Services (DHS) after the district failed to meet deadlines for ten of the short-term directives given in an August citation from DHS. A new citation was given along with the penalty and included 19 new directives with deadlines on or before January 31, 2006, and one with a February 28, 2006, deadline.
