During the Christmas season everyone is invited to bring wrapped gifts for the migrant workers and place them under the Christmas tree in the sanctuary. Please mark the contents of the gifts. Fallbrook Youth Soccer (FYS) is alive and well with the U14 boys team winning three tournaments in the last two months. On November 11 the U14 boys all-star team, which is a combination of the Galaxy and Lasers teams, won the championship in the Vista All-Star Tournament. Fallbrook High School’s boys cross-country team placed 11th among Division I schools at the state meet November 25 at Fresno’s Woodward Park. “We did very, very well, probably the best race of the season,” said Fallbrook coach Marty Hauck. They finished eighth overall with both Jake Wagaman at 215 lbs and Zach Plum at 160 lbs going undefeated. The Bread of Life Rescue Mission in Oceanside needs help in funding its winter shelter. Money is needed for rent, supplies and insurance, among other necessities. Many homeless people have few options when it comes to shelter during the freezing cold nights that North County has been having, especially since there are not very many shelters in this area.
