    FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook High School girls lacrosse team recently held their banquet at the Fallbrook Public Utility District and handed out season awards. The lacrosse team had a very successful season with two players earning All North County Conference Team selections.     The Fallbrook High girls varsity lacrosse team played the Sun Devils from Mount Carmel and cooled down their heat during their match-up on May 11. The game had just nearly started when Warrior Alex Zeringue launched a nice shot through the Devils’ goalie to score the first goal.     The Oceanside Pirates started off strong, scoring three runs at the start of the freshman girls softball game versus the Lady Warriors May 6. The Pirates showed their hitting strength, which helped them score five runs by the end of the second inning. The Warriors’ first inning included two runs, scored by Leslie Grantham and Silvia Estrada.     The Fallbrook High School girls lacrosse team will be conducting two clinics starting this Saturday, April 9, and April 16 at Fallbrook High School for sixth-graders and junior high school athletes. The clinics cost $50 for both days of instruction and each clinic will run from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Campers are to bring water, a light lunch or snack, sunscreen and plenty of enthusiasm.     The Fallbrook High School varsity women’s water polo team enjoyed a successful winter season that extended into post-season CIF play. In the first round of the CIF Division I playoffs, the Warrior’s game with Patrick Henry went in favor of the Warriors 15-3. The next game was the CIF quarterfinals with Torrey Pines. In three previous matches, the Warriors had won by a slim two-point victory when playing against Torrey Pines.     Frosh girls The Fallbrook High freshman girls soccer team, coached by Sarah Guerra, have had a good season with many wins. In a match last Thursday against the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns, the Lady Warriors made their first goal when they crowded around the opposite net and their forwards got the ball past the confused Longhorn goalie, starting them off to a 1-0 lead.
