FALLBROOK – On Dec. 22, the Fallbrook boys varsity rugby team made a strong showing against a powerful and mature Cathedral Catholic team, although ultimately losing the game 33 to 15. Fallbrook High School’s girls water polo team returned from Winter break with wins January 5 at Mount Carmel and Jan. 8 at Del Norte. The win over Mount Carmel was by a 6-5 score, and the 21-1 victory against Del Norte gave the Warriors an 8-2 record for the first ten games of the 2010-11 season. A first reading of the North County Conference league realignment was brought to the CIF Board of Managers during their Feb. 2 meeting. The realignment, which will create a fourth North County Conference league, is expected to be approved at the April 27 meeting of the CIF Board of Managers.
