  • Motorcycle, truck collide on SR76 closing westbound lane

    FALLBROOK - The California Highway Patrol is reporting that a motorcyclist collided with a truck on State Route 76 and Sweetgrass Lane on Saturday evening. The accident, which was reported at 6:37 p.m. and reports from the scene indicated that the westbound side of SR76 was closed to through traffic. There was no confirmation of injuries or fatalities in the crash and no indication when the road might be reopened as of 7:30 p.m.... Full story

  • Two hospitalized following two-vehicle crash in Fallbrook

    FALLBROOK - Two people were hospitalized on Friday, Oct. 5 following a two-vehicle crash in Fallbrook. Dispatchers received reports of the crash at about 7:10 a.m. near the intersection of East Mission Drive and Ranger Road, according to the North County Fire Protection District.   • Dirt-filled dump truck overturns in crash north of Escondido

    ESCONDIDO - A van and a two-axle dump truck collided on Sunday, Sept. 30 near the Lawrence Welk Resort between Escondido and Fallbrook, leaving the truck on its side and blocking a road through the area. One person had to be taken to a hospital as a result of the crash, Cal Fire Capt. Issac Sanchez said. It wasn't clear which vehicle the person was in, and there was no information on the severity of the person's injuries.   • Alleged hit-and-run accident on Northbound I-15 sparks car fire

    RAINBOW - According to reports from the scene, two cars collided just south of the Rainbow Valley Road exit around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 on northbound Interstate 15, causing one of the cars to catch fire under the hood and later engulfing the entire car. According to witness reports, several people stopped to help the car that was on fire by using shovels to pour dirt on the fire in attempts to put it out.
