    After the first week of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club summer meet, Peter Miller shared the trainer lead with three wins. Miller, Richard Baltas and Doug O’Neill each had three wins during the races between July 17 and July 21.     Brian Burrows won two medals at the Pan American Games. The 2007 Fallbrook High School graduate won the gold medal in the men's trap shooting event. Burrows and Rachel Tozier took the silver medal in the mixed trap shooting competition in which their American counterparts won by a single shot in the tiebreaking round.
