Anne Frank Day

On Thursday, January 27, the eighth graders made it through sitting in silence for four hours during Sullivan’s annual Anne Frank Day. Eighth graders were not allowed to speak above a whisper and could only communicate to other students in their ‘families’ of about five to seven other classmates. Also, the only food and drink students could consume were bread, crackers and water. Anyone who violated these rules, or went outside the small boundaries set for them, was taken to the ‘concentration camp,’ where they had to write sentences.
