Youth Art Month show

The art works above are now on exhibit at the San Diego Art Institute in the Youth Art Month Show that is sponsored by the California Art Education Association (CAEA). This exhibit will run through Feb. 13th. The three students (pictured above) will receive their awards at a reception held Sunday, Feb. 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Art Institute. The prize-winning paintings will go on to another exhibit for the Southern California CAEA Youth Art Month (YAM) Show held in Riverside. This latter show will include winners from the six other county YAM exhibits in Southern California.

The San Diego art show can be visited Tues. through Sat. from 10 to 4 and on Sun. from 12 to 4. The San Diego Art Institute is located across from the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park at 1439 El Prado.

Other Fallbrook students represented in the show are Alexander DeVilliers, Nadia Lee, Kelly Thomas, Mickeala Quiroz, and Alain DeVilliers. These students will receive certificates at the Feb. 13 reception. All Fallbrook students were taught by CAEA member Marilee Ragland who is currently teaching two classes at The Art Studios of Fallbrook.
