Angels hold big sale

FALLBROOK — The Angel Society of Fallbrook’s half-price sale on January 20, 21 and 22 was a huge success. Proceeds from the sale amounted to $5,500, which will be sent to UNICEF to be forwarded to the survivors of the tsunami disaster.

Angel President Marnie Mifflin, Jackie Edgerton and Gerri Ankerman, who managed the shop on one of those three days, said not only did the community support the sale, but it was overwhelming. The shop was bulging with shoppers, and as fast as the volunteers were sorting and putting out merchandise it quickly disappeared.
