Friends offer journey to Steinbeck country

Friends of the Fallbrook Library will sponsor a “journey to John Steinbeck country” April 8-10. The weekend in the Salinas-Monterey area, birthplace of the Nobel Prize-winning author, will include two lectures on Steinbeck, an outdoor lecture at Point Lobos on the natural history of the area, lunch at Steinbeck’s house, a visit to the new Steinbeck Museum, a walking tour of Cannery Row and a relaxing wine tasting Saturday evening.
