The second of two talks on the life of John Steinbeck will be given by Jim Hall on March 21 at 7 p.m. in the Café des Artistes. Steinbeck is the featured author for the Friends of the Fallbrook Library’s second Community Read and Mr. Hall will cover the era from the “Grapes of Wrath” through his receipt of the Nobel Prize and his final years. Seating is limited. Please call (760) 728-3350 for reservations. Also on display in the Café is the Steinbeck Photo Exhibit, courtesy of the Center for Steinbeck Studies, San Jose State University. The exhibit is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Steinbeck Country paintings by the late Dorothy Finley are on display at Fallbrook Library.
