William Lee Qualls, 62. Bill went to be with the Lord March 18, 2005. He was born on April 8, 1942, in Story, AR.
A member of Calvary Chapel Murrieta, Murrieta, CA, Bill attended the Fallbrook School District system from grade one through 12. He was a graduate of the class of 1960. Bill worked for 27 years with Superior Ready Mix, formerly American Ready Mix, of Fallbrook. Bill was a consummate cabinetmaker and enjoyed woodworking and building homes. His hobbies included gardening, hunting in New Mexico and Colorado, and fishing with his grandson Anders. Bill enjoyed NASCAR racing, often traveling around the country to attend races. His love of music included gospel and country. A fan of guitarist Chet Atkins and Merle Travis, he enjoyed playing the guitar. Bill enjoyed his Dachshunds and spent time with “Gilda,” who sat in his lap after work. He cherished the friendship of his co-workers. Bill took the greatest pride in his grandchildren, Alexia and Anders, and was proud of his daughter Rhonda. Bill had a great faith and love of God, feeling that he was truly blessed.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Qualls, in 2002. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Maxine Qualls, Murrieta, CA; father Lloyd Qualls, Fallbrook, CA; daughter & son-in-law Rhonda & William Oerding, Walnut, CA; sister & brother-in-law Carol & Phil Seely, Escondido, CA; and grandchildren Alexia & Anders Oerding, Walnut, CA.
A funeral service was held on March 23, 2005. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements. In lieu of flowers his family suggests donations to the “Building Fund,” Calvary Chapel Murrieta, 24225 Monroe Ave., Murrieta, CA 92562.
