Varsity
Last Thursday, the Fallbrook High varsity mens volleyball team went four games with the Escondido Cougars. In game one, the Warriors stole the first few points before the lead was taken. It wasn’t until the middle of the game when the Warriors tied it up 15-15. The Cougars won game one with a final score of Warriors 21, Cougars 25.
The Warriors fell behind in the next game. As it progressed, the Warriors edged ahead of the Cougars and went on to outscore the Cougars 25-20.
There had been two games played and two more were now left to play. The Cougars scored their quick points up to 15, then the Warriors brought their points back and the third game was over with the Warriors behind 21-25.
In the last game, the team from Escondido gave it their best effort. They took the lead from the Warriors and kept the score gap the largest of all the sets, winning the fourth game 15-25.
Junior varsity
The junior varsity Warriors lost their first game to the Cougars by a margin of 15 points. The junior varsity teams play the best of games. The Warriors came back together for their second game. A few points behind, the Warriors started their scoring drive. The Cougars’ defense held the drive off when the Warriors were still a few points down. The Cougars finished the second game over the Warriors 14-25.
