While meandering and enjoying the sights and activities during Fallbrook’s Avocado Festival, you will also be able to enjoy the “Sounds of Music.” There will be three live bands performing during the day at convenient rest stop locations. While enjoying a beverage or snack, stop by and listen to:
• The Blue Zone, a North San Diego County band that plays classic rock & roll and blues. This year will be their tenth consecutive year of playing at the Avocado Festival. You can find them on the corner of Hawthorne and Main. The group has been playing together for over 14 years.
Blue Zone plays a wide variety of songs from the ’60s & ’70s up through the ’90s, and with their strong vocal abilities they like to feature songs that have interesting vocals and complex harmonies.
• Shocks of Mighty will be performing for the third year at the festival. While you’re wandering through the festival, stop at their location at Scrappy’s Tire. Come and enjoy this Southern California reggae band that offers an interesting blend of roots reggae and occasional Latin influences. This band does a great job of generating a deep, rich old-school reggae sound that young and old enjoy listening to.
• Heidi and the Hurricanes is a North San Diego County-based performance group. This will be their first year at the festival and they will be located by the Fallbrook Directory. Come by and give them a warm Fallbrook welcome! All five members of the group have been performing professionally for many years and have now formed one of the most sought-after groups in the area. Expect to hear music from Dave Mason to Dave Matthews, from Shakira to Gwen Stefani.
