Tasty food contests, too!

The Fallbrook Avocado Festival will be holding four exciting and tantalizing taste contests. These will be placed into two major categories:

1. The Professional: Professional competitors will vie for the Perpetual Grand Prize trophy and ribbons for second and third place for the Best Tasting Guacamole and/or the Best Tasting Salsa.

Entries will be displayed and judged at the Old Grove Company, 129 E. Mission, Fallbrook, beginning at 9 a.m.

2. The Amateur: Winning amateur cooks will be awarded $25 for first place in each category and $100 for Best Overall by creating the Best Tasting Guacamole,...
