Fred Matthew Grahek, 81, passed away on May 3, 2005. He was born on October 12, 1923, in Chislom, MN. Mr. Grahek was a resident of Fallbrook, CA, for 29 years.
Mr. Grahek retired from the Federal Government in 1983. He was a sergeant in the Army Air Corps, 13th Air Force, 868th Bomber Group in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was assigned as a bell turret gunner on a B-24 liberator and was a member of the VFW, 13th Air Force Veterans Association.
Mr. Grahek is survived by his wife of 36 years Josephine M. Grahek, daughter & son-in-law Julie & Carl Sprengelmeyer, sister Agnes Raras, and grandson Andrew Spregelmeyer.
Funeral services were held on May 7, 2005, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Fallbrook. There was a private inurnment. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements.
