Poinsettia Bowl likely to give more local players opportunity for San Diego bowl

The addition of a second college football bowl game for San Diego, and one which will include a team from the Mountain West Conference, is likely to give additional local athletes the chance to play in a post-season bowl game in San Diego.

“A lot of local kids go to the Mountain West Conference schools, and it will give them a chance to play in a hometown bowl game,” said Bruce Binkowski, the executive director of the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl.
