Mrs. Jan Mees, 83

Mrs. Jan Mees, 83, passed away on June 11, 2005, at Village Square Nursing in San Marcos, CA. She was born on March 20, 1922, in Shelby, IA. Mrs. Mees was a six-year resident of Fallbrook, CA.

Mrs. Mees retired after 40 years of working as a real estate agent. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Community and a former member of Ladies PGA West and Fallbrook Artists’ Association. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed art, opera, traveling and playing cards.

Mrs. Mees is survived by her husband of six years Clyde Mees, Fallbrook, CA; step-son Tom Mees, San Luis Obispo, CA; step-daughters Carol Mees, Fallbrook, CA, and Merilee & Mehrdad Nooran, both of London, England.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 17, at noon at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with a 1 p.m. mass officiated by Rev. Edward L. “Bud” Kaicher. A private cremation will follow the services. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements.
