Fallbrook Street School not meeting benchmarks

If you ask Diane McClelland, the principal at Fallbrook Street School, to compare the quality of education her students receive compared to other students in kindergarten through second grade, she’ll tell you it’s the same or better. Yet the school, judged as a State Distinguished School in April 2004, now possibly qualifies for aide to failing schools under a new proposal recommended by Governor Schwarzenegger.
