FALLBROOK — The Angel Society of Fallbrook installed a new slate of officers for the coming year at their board meeting held on June 23. Linda Promack takes over as president from Marnie Mifflin, who has served for the past two years.
The Angels also voted to award funding to the following local organizations:
• Fallbrook Ag Boosters, to support the FUHS Ag Dept., the FFA and three local 4-H clubs in their ongoing activities.
• Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Society, to upgrade software used in their support of youth programs.
• Fallbrook Associated Swim Team, to purchase training equipment.
• Pop Warner Little Scholars, for scholarships, insurance, equipment and referee fees.
• Fallbrook Land Conservancy Trails Council, for storm damage repair to trails in the Santa Margarita rivershed.
• Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary’s Courier Service, for insurance.
The Fallbrook Angel Society uses proceeds from the Angel Thrift Shop, member dues and other donations to fund requests for worthy community needs.
