Dog struggles to recover from gunshot wound

PALA — Two-year-old female Labrador/corgi mix “Tigger” hasn’t exactly had the easiest life thus far. Adopted by her devoted owners, Ann Day and her son, James, after being found abandoned and tied to a pole with a telephone cord, Tigger suffered a gunshot wound on June 13 that has left her with a tough road to recovery.

“There was absolutely no reason for this dog to be shot at,” Day said. “She is a very sweet dog and wasn’t causing anyone any problem. She wasn’t doing anything when she was shot.” Tigger was shot while accompanying Day out to feed horses on the property.
