Celebrating our differences

We are looking for all talented Potter students to be part of the Fine Arts Showcase this year at Potter Junior High. Signups for the showcase started on August 23 at the Registration Faire. If you can sing, dance, act, play a musical instrument or are an awesome artist, then sign up by Friday, September 30, to be part of the fun. The Staples Foundation is sponsoring the talent showcase, which is called “Celebrating Our Differences.” They are looking for talent in performing and visual arts. The Staples Foundation will be awarding a $200 scholarship to the top performers in five categories: dance, instrumental music, drama, voice and visual art. The scholarship money will be paid directly to a private instructor to enhance the training of our talented students. The top performer in each category will go on to the Regional Fine Arts Showcase in February, where they will compete against other local junior high schools. So, get your tap shoes on, your voice warmed up, your instrument tuned up and come be a part of this amazing experience!

Don’t forget that Friday, September 23, is the “Back to the Future” dance from 3 to 5 p.m. Come out and have fun with your friends!
