Where have all the coyotes gone?

I have lived in the beautiful Fallbrook area for three years and we purchased our property in the year 2000. I have always loved the beautiful birds and the coyotes. Their sounds are a part of the charm of the rough terrain in which they exist. Now the sounds are gone and it leaves an empty space in my heart. Someone is killing off the coyotes.
