Costume parties are not unusual in the month of October, but a party thrown by one set of Fallbrook parents for their 14-year-old daughter’s birthday on October 8 exceeded the boundaries of acceptability and encouraged and enabled children to engage in illegal behavior, other parents say.
Touted as a “Pimp and ’Ho” party, invitees were encouraged to dress (or undress, as the case warranted) the part and “were promised all the free beer they could drink and all the free marijuana they could smoke,” said one disgusted mother who found out after the fact that the party included these things.
“I never thought that anyone would throw their daughter a party like that,” she said. “Girls were in thongs [underwear] and brassieres and one girl ended up in the hospital with a blood alcohol level of 2.8.”
Attended by what sources say were over 200 local junior high and high school students, pictures from the party have been popping up on the Internet showing minors freely drinking beer and girls dancing on tables in their underwear.

Lt. Grant Burnett, commander of the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation, said a unit was dispatched due to a noise complaint at the residence, located just off Via Monserate, but no one would agree to sign a complaint so officers could take a legal stance.
“Our command center kept asking callers if anyone would be willing to sign a complaint, and they all said no.
“The driveway was absolutely blocked by cars. If we could have gotten up there and could have seen the juveniles drinking, we could have done something. We have to be very cautious in private property situations. Meanwhile, other calls for service were pending.”
“In my opinion, parents who had children there should take civil action against the parents who threw the party,” Burnett advised. “I understand there were two young people who ended up being taken to the hospital that night.”
Burnett confirmed that an investigation into the matter is underway.
