Seven Fallbrook gymnasts qualify for State Championships

FALLBROOK — After a strong season, seven Fallbrook Gymnastics Club gymnasts qualified to compete at the State Championships by scoring high enough at the Sectional Championships.

During the season Danielle Parsons has won two first-place All-Around Championships and Kim Izzo has won one first-place All-Around Championship. Parsons and Izzo were event champions this season.

Gianna DiBacco has had a solid season and placed second all-around to Parsons at the Fallbrook Classic.

Bryanna Cusimano has racked up a number of second- and third-place finishes in one of the toughest divisions, Level 5 (12-year-olds).

Sarah Engbretson qualified for State Championship in only her second meet of the season.

Michelle Verougstraete and Katie Smith have been steadily improving all season and both had their best meets at Sectionals to make it to State Championships.
