Book Talk to take place Nov. 10

FALLBROOK — The November Book Talk, hosted by the Friends of the Fallbrook Library, will be held in the Board Room of the Fallbrook Public Utility District, 990 E. Mission Rd., Thursday, Nov. 10, at 1:30 p.m. The November discussion will feature “Giants of the Earth” by Norwegian author Olẻ Edvart Rolvaag. Written in his native tongue and translated into English in 1927, the book takes place when the Homestead Act of 1862 was passed. This Act brought many immigrants to settle in the upper Midwest.
