Recently my husband and I had the pleasure of reliving our first trip to Europe through a diary that you-know-who wrote. Fortunately I was mature enough to note the place, weather and what we saw as well as what and where we dined. We were almost licking our lips to recall the first time we both tasted REAL French onion soup at Les Halles at 3 in the morning (Les Halles being the food market area of Paris, and the cafés there catering not to us tourists but to the workers).
