Your recent article and accompanying editorial raging against the supposed ‘Pimp & ’Ho’ party that you say occurred was one of the weakest pieces of journalism that I have ever read. Your paper is now the Fallbrook Village Enquirer. Perhaps a white cover is in order.
Give us some facts, please, and let us make up our own minds about what happened or should have happened or whatever. You didn’t include any names, addresses, police reports, photos, interviews or anything. There was just hearsay. Apparently, no one from your publication even tried to call the parents who put on this alleged party. Did you actually interview, even anonymously, a party participant? If you did, say so.
The sheriffs say they couldn’t do anything because there were too many cars in the way. What, the sheriffs don’t have legs now? If they can’t stop a party like this, how are they going to stop the growing gang problem in town?
Hasn’t anyone ever heard of the County Child Protective Services? Give me a name and I’ll drop a dime.
There’s a certain level of dumbness at work here.
Editor’s Note: Because charges have not yet been filed, it is not advisable for the newspaper to run a name and address at this time. Perhaps you should direct your questions about the Sheriff’s Department to that agency. And, finally, Mr. Young, the Village News would not publish photographs of minors in the state of dress they were in. We are unsure why you would suggest that we perpetuate the distribution of inappropriate images of minors.
