Richard C. Key, Sr., passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005. Dick was born on Feb. 9, 1924, in Lake View, IA. At age 17 he joined the US Navy, serving in WWII and the Korean War, as a radio operator. In early 1942, Dick was part of the 36-ship convoy to Murmansk, Russia. His ship was one of 13 that survived that convoy. Dick was a proud and patriotic veteran.
