If kids enrolled in the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District struggle with obesity, it’s not because of the food served in their cafeterias. Senate Bill 12, signed into law September 15, mandates nutrition guidelines that set new standards for foods low in fats, sugar and calories. Schools have until July 1, 2007, to comply.
