The busiest mailing season is also peak season for dog bites and attacks!

Faced with increased injuries to letter carriers from dog attacks and a historical spike in attacks during December and January, the U.S. Postal Services is asking residents to keep their pets restrained during delivery hours.

“We have seen a 52% increase in injuries resulting from dog bites and attacks compared to last year in our Postal district,” said Vick Garcia.
